Before staying overnight with us, all dogs must complete at least 3 daycare days at Sits Happen. This gives us the chance to get to know your dog’s unique personality and helps ensure a safe, happy, and tail-wagging experience for everyone in our care.

Annual Dog Vaccinations
To keep all our guests safe, dogs should be up to date with their annual vaccinations, including:
- Distemper
- Hepatitis (Adenovirus)
- Parvovirus
- Parainfluenza
- Rabies (as required by South African regulations)
- Kennel Cough (Bordetella) – strongly recommended for dogs attending daycare or boarding

Before attending daycare, puppies should have:

Is my dog suitable for daycare?
Most healthy, social dogs are welcome at Sits Happen. We assess every dog to ensure they are comfortable in a group environment and can safely enjoy playtime with other dogs.
Are puppies welcome?
Yes! We love welcoming puppies. Puppies are welcome once they have received at least two core vaccinations. Our safe, supervised environment helps young dogs build confidence, develop good social skills and enjoy positive interactions with other dogs. Every puppy is introduced gradually to ensure they feel comfortable and have a positive first experience.
How does my dog's first visit work?
Absolutely! We recommend a first visit so your dog can become familiar with the environment while our team gets to know their personality and play style.
Can I tour the facility first?
Absolutely. We encourage new clients to arrange a visit so they can meet our team and see where their dogs will play and relax.
What should I bring for my dog's first visit?
Please bring your dog’s vaccination records, any required medication with instructions, and enough food if your dog has a special diet. We recommend leaving favourite toys or bedding at home unless specifically requested.

How much does dog daycare cost?
Our Half-Day PlayPasses start from R148 and Full-Day PlayPasses start from R210. We also offer discounted packages for 5, 10 and 15 visits, as well as special pricing for households with two or three dogs.
Do you offer discounts for multiple dogs?
Yes! Families with two or three dogs receive discounted pricing on all Half-Day, Full-Day and Overnight Stay packages.
Can I buy multiple daycare passes?
Yes. We offer 5, 10 and 15 pass packages.
How long are PlayPasses valid?
Our 5, 10 and 15 PlayPass packages are valid for 3 months from the date of purchase and are non-transferable.

What vaccinations does my dog need?
For the safety of all dogs in our care, dogs must be up to date with their core vaccinations, including Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus, Parainfluenza and Rabies. Puppies must have received at least two core vaccinations before attending daycare. We also recommend the Kennel Cough (Bordetella) vaccine for dogs attending daycare or overnight boarding.
Do you administer medication?
Yes. If your dog requires medication during their stay, our trained staff can administer it according to your instructions.
What happens if my dog doesn't get along with other dogs?
Your dog’s safety and wellbeing come first. We carefully supervise playgroups and will separate dogs if necessary to ensure everyone has a positive experience.
